How to Prepare for an Upcoming Property Inspection

Edited

Notification and Scheduling

We'll send you an email inviting you to select a suitable time for the inspection. If you prefer, you can also opt for our online self-check option, which allows you to complete the inspection at your convenience within a 14-day window.

What to Expect

The inspection is a straightforward process that typically takes about 10-15 minutes. Our property manager will walk through the property, checking various items and areas to ensure they are in good condition. This includes testing smoke alarms, examining windows for mould, assessing bath sealants, and evaluating garden upkeep.

Your Role as a Tenant

While the inspection is not a cleanliness check, it's always a good idea to maintain the property in a tidy state. If you have any concerns or issues you'd like to discuss, the property inspection is an excellent opportunity to bring them up. You don't have to be present during the inspection if you're unavailable, especially if we have a management set of keys.

After the Inspection

Once the inspection is complete, any issues identified will be noted in the report, and the property manager will take appropriate action. If you opted for the self-check, you would receive a copy of the report along with our comments on any reported concerns.
