Edited

Emergencies can happen at any time, and it's crucial to know the correct steps to take to ensure everyone's safety. Here's a guide on what to do in different emergency scenarios:

Fire or Crime

In the event of a fire or a crime, your first point of contact should be the emergency services. Dial 999 immediately for assistance.

Gas Leak

If you suspect a gas leak:

  1. Open doors and windows to allow fresh air in.

  2. Turn off the gas at the mains tap, usually located near the meter.

  3. Leave the property immediately.

  4. Call the National Gas Emergencies number at 0800 111 999.

  5. Follow the advice given by the emergency adviser.

  6. Wait outside for a gas engineer to arrive.

Water Leak

If you experience a water leak:

  1. Turn off the water at the stop tap, if possible.

  2. Try to contain any water with containers to minimise damage.
