Why It's Important:
Understanding this clause is crucial for:

  1. Financial Responsibility: It makes clear who is responsible for utility payments, avoiding any disputes later.

  2. Legal Compliance: Tampering with utility installations can be illegal. This clause ensures that tenants are aware of the legal implications.

  3. Smooth Operations: By setting clear guidelines, it helps in the smooth operation and maintenance of essential services in the property.

  4. Landlord-Tenant Relations: Clear communication and understanding of responsibilities can foster a better relationship between the landlord and tenant.

By adhering to this clause, tenants can ensure they are fulfilling their responsibilities, while landlords can rest assured that their property's utilities are being managed correctly.
